Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi recently ignored resurgent Villarreal of Spain striker Ikechukwu Uche when he released a list of players to be invited for a crucial international friendly match with Mexico on March 5.
His explanation afterwards was that Ike Uche was indisciplined. Do you support Keshi's decision? Was the Big Boss right on the action taken against IK Uche?
Prior to Keshi's pronouncement, Ike Uche who had scored 12 La Liga goals for Villarreal this season sensationally stated in the media that he wouldn't be shocked if his goals failed to guarantee his selection in Nigeria's 2014 World Cup squad.
It was a comment that strongly indicated the strikers's unhappiness with the Nigeria manager. What is your opinion on Ike Uche's comment?
IK Uche has not played for the Super Eagles since the 2013 Nations Cup which Nigeria won. His lowly form presented an ample opportunity for Emmanuel Emenike to grap the Super Eagles top striker' role. He was the Eagles' top scorer in the qualifiers for the 2013 Nations Cup.
Ike Uche risks missing out on another World Cup if his current row with Keshi persists. The striker couldn't make Nigeria's squad to the previous World Cup in South Africa due to injury.
